The Perils of Pesticides
Every day students and staff enter school buildings to work and learn. Unfortunately joining the ranks are unwanted pesky pests such as roaches, ants, wasps, and rats. Pests alone can cause structural damage and adverse health effects, such as asthma, but they also prompt schools to use pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, and rodenticides that can lead to other health problems such as eye and skin irritation, coughing, nausea, dizziness, and vomiting.
