Keeping Young People in School
Award for Effective Use of Community Resources
The 2007 Civic Change Award recognizes an individual or organization using community resources to help keep young people in school. Examples include mentoring programs matching at-risk students with community members or initiatives that mobilize community members in an attempt to publicize the serious nature of the dropout problem in local schools.
The award winner receives a $2500 prize that may be donated to the organization of their choice.
The deadline for nominations is March 31, 2007.
