By Kids For Kids™ and National Education Association Partner To Help Public School Educators Encourage ‘Inventive Thinking’
WASHINGTON—By Kids For Kids™ and the National Education Association today announced a partnership that will make the company's "Inventive Thinking Toolkit" available to the 2.8 million members of NEA as a tool and resource to help engage students and create enthusiasm for learning.
The BKFK™ "Inventive Thinking Toolkit" builds on another one of the company's successful collaborations, the United States Patent and Trademark Office Project XL, which is designed to encourage new science programs in schools. Similar to Project XL, each Inventive Thinking toolkit contains a teacher's guide, a student guide, an interactive learning DVD, a game poster and an example of a kid-invented product. The toolkits are targeted to reach students in grades 3-12 and will be available free of charge via the Internet this fall at www.bkfk.com and www.nea.org.
"The world is changing, and in the face of intensive global competition, we must do what we can to encourage all of our children to study and master science, technology, engineering and math," said NEA President Reg Weaver. "BKFK's Inventive Thinking Toolkit will be an important resource in promoting critical skills that prepare our students to succeed in a diverse and interdependent world."
BKFK CEO and founder Norman Goldstein said his organization is thrilled to join forces with NEA. "This partnership will help to ignite a movement that unleashes the creative potential of youth to invent and innovate, as well as inspire youth to do social good by addressing real world challenges," Goldstein said. "We look forward to working with NEA to get the 'NEA/BKFK™ Inventive Thinking Toolkit' to NEA members and public school students across the nation." Learn more at www.nea.org.
