Urge Congress: End the District of Columbia Voucher Experiment!
Voucher supporters are once again attempting to divert essential resources from public schools.
In recent years, Congress passed a voucher program for the District of Columbia by making an end-run around the legislative process and slipping the program into a comprehensive spending bill. The program is set to expire in September 2008, but some in Congress want to extend funding for this ill-advised program.
NEA opposes this proposal.
Tell your U.S. Senators and Representative: Don't take scarce dollars away from public schools -- reject private school vouchers.
