A collection of resources for coping with anxiety in times of crisis includes tips for talking during times of uncertainty.

SmartBODY Fitness Information Center is a new fitness and nutrition resource featuring model programs & policies, lesson plans, discussion forums, and additional links & resources.

Asthma and Schools consolidates information about asthma-related resources K-12 personnel. You'll find fact sheets that outline major aspects of asthma and offer ways to handle it at school.

HIV/AIDS Education Program for School Employees addresses HIV/AIDS issues in the workplace, offers training and technical assistance on policy and shares universal precautions for educators and the community.

Can We Talk? is an innovative program that gives parents and caregivers skills to start ongoing conversations with young people about health and sexuality.

Indoor Air Quality in Schools trains NEA members to use the Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools Action Kit in their local school districts.

Men's and Women's Health Programs include information and training materials on breast, cervical, and prostate cancers and other important health issues as they relate to NEA members.

Kids ACT! (Act to Control Tobacco) is a school-based advocacy program designed to motivate and mobilize teachers, middle school students and parents to become tobacco-control advocates at the grassroots level.

Teen Pregnancy Prevention works with six national organizations-including NEA-to help NEA members develop pregnancy prevention programs that are based on proven strategies and interventions.

School and Community Safety Initiative provides schools and communities with assistance in establishing comprehensive school safety programs. (Coming soon!)

Child health

More and more, students are affected by health issues and conditions that affect their readiness to learn. Find out more about adolescent risk behaviors, children without health insurance or regular medical care, and hungry children.

Environmental health offers a potpourri of materials on asthma, drinking water quality, and indoor air quality. In addition, school employees will find tips for answering students' tough questions about anthrax and allaying their fears.
