Forecast Earth Summit Contest
High School Students Will Network with Environmental Leaders
The Weather Channel is hosting the second Forecast Earth Summit in Washington, DC, on December 5–7, 2008. The three-day conference brings together environmental leaders, scientists, and a small, select group of high school students to focus on environmental education.
Twenty outstanding students who are passionate about their environment and taking action to make a difference will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to attend the summit. To be considered, students must write an essay about what they're doing to save the planet and why they deserve to be "Eco-Ambassadors."

The deadline to submit essays is October 19, 2008.
