Freedom Alliance Scholarships provide financial assistance to sons and daughters of soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Guardsman who have been killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty, or who are currently classified as a Prisoner of War (POW) or Missing in Action (MIA).
To be eligible for one-year scholarships, students must be high school seniors, high school graduates, or registered undergraduates at an accredited college or vocational institution. They must also be dependent sons or daughters of a military person who was killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty or currently classified as a POW or MIA.
Deadline for receipt of applications is August 1, 2008.
