Cable in the Classroom’s Leaders in Learning Awards

Education Innovators Honored

This program recognizes outstanding educators, administrators, policymakers, and other community leaders working in schools who are (1) using new ideas and technology to educate and better prepare students; and (2) whose innovative practices have a positive impact on preK–12 education in one of the following categories:

• Cable partnerships for learning
• Media literacy education
• General excellence
• Policymaker excellence

Winners receive a $3,000 cash prize and an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., in June 2009. While there, recipients will visit with members of Congress and attend a gala event with policymakers, government officials, leaders of the national education community, cable industry executives, and other VIPs.
